Outdoor Locations for your Photoshoot

I am so excited that you booked a session with LLP! There are so many beautiful locations in the Houston area. I have prepared this blog post only for LLP clients to give you some ideas on locations.

If you’ve booked this shoot because you’ve got a space with empty walls that need some smiling faces on them, consider the colors your print will be sitting with in that room. Do you want the lush green of a forest? Or the muted cool tones of a beach? Do you want wide open spaces with lots of blue sky? Or the the downtown skyline?

Depending on who’s coming to the shoot, we may have some logistics to consider. For any shoots with expectant moms, little kids, people with mobility impairments, or the elderly, let’s not pick a location with a ton of walking. In fact, the closer the location to the parking lot, the better. Please let me know of any concerns with distance when we are discussing locations.

I love a location with lots of variety to ensure we capture a wide range of images. Below are some of my favorite and most used locations. If you have somewhere special in mind, I’ll follow you anywhere.

Please note, some of the locations below will look a little different depending on the season. Sometimes trees are more green or more orange. Grass could even be more green on brown.

Location 1: Cypress, TX (Free)

Beautiful mossy trees, a wooden bridge, large & open field. This is a client favorite.

Location 2: Memorial Park (Free/ Parking $5)

Beautiful trees, open field, & wooden path around lake.

Location 3: Medical Center (Free)

Path lined with trees, reflection pond, bridge, pretty trees.

Location 4: The Woodlands (Free)

Pond with dock & open field

Location 5: The Woodlands (Free)

Tall Trees

Location 6: Arboretum/ Memorial Park (Free/ Parking $5)

Location 7: Katy, TX (Free)

Large open field (flowers are seasonal), bridge, & mossy trees.

Historical Buildings. Downtown Tomball for additional photos.

Outdoor Studios- Prices Vary Depending on Studio

There are so many beautiful outdoor studios in the Houston area. If you would like to book one of these, please let me know as soon as possible so I can check availability with the studio.

Location 8: Tomball ($100 Venue Fee)

Barn, farm animals, pond, dock & open field.

Open field, white farm fence, garden, and venue

(Venue Fee Mon.-Thurs. $100 & Fri.-Sun $125)

Barn, open field, farm animal, & large tree

Location 11: Tomball ($130 Venue Fee)

Large field with rustic wooden fence, wooden swing, tire swing, and old blue truck. This location also includes the indoor studio that is great for newborn or milestone sessions.
